How firm is the bowel movement?  Is the discharge coloured, yellow ........ enough to stain panties?

My bottom gets sore sometimes if the motion is dry.

You may have a small fissure, inside your anus.  They are quite common, especially as we get older.  Try using anal wet wipes as this is supposed to help.

Also could be piles even if no blood.

Catkins, I have the same. Since I took antibiotics in April (I think) and they gave me chronic diarrhoea. Ended up wiping myself so sore, and never recovered.
I don't use loo wet wipes anymore, I use baby wipes that have no alcohol in them (water based). But I am still sore, and get blood from time to time.
I don't know what the answer is. If you find something that works, please let me know.

LIVE yoghurt.  Eaten and applied.  Will help to replace good bacteria throughout the digestive tract.  I have used 'savlon' liberally when really sore or torn.  A lot regularly until the soreness is eliviated.  Tap dry. Don't rub.

Perhaps you should see the gp if doesn't get better soon, I would have thought the discharge should be investigated.

Sometimes the anal spincter can loosen ......... which allows leakage.  Have you shown this to your GP?

Hi, I have this due to hot flushes and night sweats. Try Conotrane cream, it's absolutely fab and will soon sort out all the soreness. I apply daily as a preventative. x

Hi
I'm on 11 years of having Hemorrhoids. On and off, even had an emergency operation when an external Hemorrhoid blood clotted. Very very painful. Every so often I bleed, I had two colonoscopys and seen a specialist. They won't operate on me as I manage them. I have both internal and external. When I first started having this problem it was chemist medicine, but I was concerned of using too much. I've now learned to look after myself with self treatment about 95% of the time. But when on holidays it's just easier to use the chemist cream. Please do check with a doctor first that's it is Hemorrhoids. I don't have any discharge? But I can get itchy. Here's my help tips.

-Get a feel for your bottom. Yes that's right, use your finger and touch the outside of your ass. It took me years to do this. But it's good to know if you can feel any pea size lumps. I know what my bottom feels like on a good day. They feel smaller and softer and when I have Hemorrhoids harder and larger. This also helps me when I feel sore and my external Hemorrhoids feel normal, I know it's internal, which tells me salt baths or suppositories will help me.

-What your diet? keep the fibre and water up. Metamucil if needed

- I don't recommend apple cider vinegar, it really hurts.

- instead use T.N.Dickingsons Witch hazel (in America they actually make a Hemorrhoid product. But I'm from Australia and you can't get it here so I made my own) to make your own use witch hazel, water and The Body Shop Aloe (multi-use soothing gel). Boil water in your kettle, cool down to room temperature. Use a travel bottle, fill with 50% water, 50% witch hazel and a squirt of aloe. Put lid on shake well. When your bottom feels sore get a cotton wool ball wet it with your witch hazel mix and stick it next to your bottom. Your butt cheeks should hold it in place.

- a shadow bath about 5 cms of water. salt bath is amazing. Use 1/2 cup off salt, and sit for 15 minutes at a time. Especially after poo.

- if your short on time and don't want to sit in the bath, I also have a made up bottle off salty water, use cotton ball, wet it and place next to ass.

I found using these methods really help me. And I'm not sticking chemicals next to my bottom. And for some strange reason I'm finding my Hemorrhoids are coming more often and longer and I believe it's menopausal related. My friend would go at least 6 months with Hemorrhoids. Does anyone agree? I have found information on the internet that says it can be so?

I hope this information helps  :)
Hugs and kisses Lyncola
