Janssen website suggests earlier restock date
« on: November 22, 2019, 11:36:44 AM »

I have just seen thus on Janssen website. Suggests Feb 2020 restock date..... here's hoping

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) Shortages in the UK

As HRT shortages continue to impact patients in the UK, we wanted to provide an update on recent developments regarding the future supply of our Evorel (estradiol) range of HRT products.

The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson have entered an asset purchase agreement for its Evorel range of products (SYSTEN/EVOREL/EVOPAD patches, including the Conti and Sequi presentations) to Theramex HQ UK Limited, who have an established history in women's health. This divestment is part of our ongoing review of our portfolio as we look to continue to bring forward transformational medicines for patients. We want to emphasise that the agreement with Theramex is not the cause or the reason for the current shortage of the Evorel range.

Theramex has been working with suppliers to shorten the manufacturing timelines, and accelerate supply to bring the product back to market earlier than originally planned. They currently anticipate the product range will be back in stock by February 2020. In the interim, we still expect product shortages, but are working with Theramex to make Evorel accessible to patients as quickly as possible.

In addition, we will continue to work closely with the UK Health Authorities, healthcare professionals and the British Menopause Society during this transition.

For patients with questions regarding current or alternative HRT therapies during this time, we advise speaking to your GP or healthcare professional.

For pharmacists and healthcare professionals who are having difficulty obtaining supply of the Evorel range of products through wholesale providers, please contact our Customer Services team: [email protected].

If your enquiry is related to an adverse event, please contact our Drug Safety Department on 01494 567447 or by e-mail at: [email protected]

Sounds optimistic Fusseh. Interesting that they have decided to mention specifically the sale to Theramex, as all sorts of nonsense (?) has been put out in the media about the reasons for HRT shortages and lots of speculation....
