Has anyone gone from Evorel estradiol only to Oestrogel? With the supply problems with Evorel I have the Oestrogel pump pack ready to go. It seems that they are chemically the same, however the dose is so confusing.

How can this be? If my transdermal patch delivers 25 micrograms of estradiol a day? The gel - 1 pump - delivers 750 micrograms 0.75 milligrams? Even if I use a third of a pump thats 100 times the dose of evorel 25 isn't it?

Am I messing up my maths (that won't surprise me!) or is there some vital info I am missing re gels and patches and doses?

Anyone else gone from Evorel to Oestrogel? If so how did it go? real life advice or maths lessons welcome!

Hi you can't compare dosages of patches and gel like that.

What strength patch were you using? X

A 25 mcg patch is usually changed twice a week, so you are getting the 25 mcg over 3.5 days. One pump of Oestrogel daily would be the equivalent of your patches.

I hoped that might be the case. I'm on Evorel 25. I have no idea how to figure out how much is equivalent. I can dilute and half etc if I know how it works.

Hi

A 25patch is equivalent to 1 pump of gel, so you should use 1 pump of gel per day
