I'm 42, post meno. Had a rough ten years, peri started at 32, not fantastic support from Gps. Went private in july after I paid for own blood tests. Was such a relief to see that I hadn't been going mad and my bloods showed I was def 100% post meno.
Three months ago I started 3 x estrogel, 10 days 100mg utro and 1 x sachet testogel a week. Def improvement in most symptoms, though still struggling with energy levels and had a few days of very bad irritability and anger.
A week ago everything came back with a vengeance: my dead legged drowsiness that means I can only lie in bed, muscle aches, sweats and smelling bad, v tearful and low.
I'd had a blood test done last week as part of 3 month check up and got my results a couple of days ago. It put my estradiol levels at 186 pmol - up from 78 before I started the 3 pumps regime. I felt loads better seeing that my estradiol was still quite low. I'd felt really helpless and depressed at the return of my symptoms so it was good to know there might be a reason for feeling this bad.
I've decided to increase my estrogel to 4 pumps. I started yesterday. From your experiences, how long til I can see an improvement?
