Who has tried Intrarosa?
« on: December 28, 2019, 04:33:21 PM »

I had a general search.
My on going bladder issues have led me to something new.
Tried Vagifem it was great, then it stopped working
Added oestogel - super, felt loads better

But now the old bladder troubles are back. Feel burning and full. No infection
Lovely Menopause doc said try this

Please  tell me it's a miracle

There is a thread on Intrarosa started by Kilted Cupid.  Try putting Intrarosa in search engine.  Seems several ladies prefer it over Vagifem.

How often were you using the Vagifem?

Re Intrarosa - trials showed it has to be used every day (on average) to get the same effect as twice weekly Vagifem - but is a very gentle product as it uses coconut fat or similar as the main filler. If you are using systemic HRT and just want a little extra then it might be fine but personally wouldn't want to have to do a daily vag insertion - I already spend too many days inserting things up there  ::).  I'll bump the thread....

Thanks, I can see that thread now, and will look.

I was using Vagifem daily in the end, then added oestrogel and all was ok for a bit.

It's my bloody bladder! I hate it!

I can relate to that, my bladder was the first sign on VA for me, and the one thing I still struggle with.

I've been on oestrogel, mirena coil and estring for 4 years, saw women's health physio in the summer (did nothing of any help) ....still have urgency and occasional urge incontinence, and frequency is awful at times.

I started using tostran in September, and I feel it has helped a lot with bladder and VA, still have occasional bad days, but mostly a lot better, and less leaks.

Tried intrarosa, started on 12th December, fine at night, but noticed external burning during the day....stopped after a week, and still trying to settle the VA flare up. I'm very sensitive to and creams or products that dissolve and leak, creates terrible soreness and burning externally for me, never any issue internally

I can't see that it will work for me because I find most of it in the toilet bowl as I get up to pee every 2 or 3 hours.

Have you been referred to a specialist for bladder training or to find out what's causing the feeling of a full bladder and frequent urination?

I'm waiting for a prescription from the meno specialist, she's agreed to prescribe it because my doctor wouldn't.

I've had a bladder scan.

I'm almost certain it's menopause related.

When I was on Vagifem I was ok. It was when that stopped working that things went pear shaped.
I re did the loading dose, used it daily.
Hence Intrarosa

My Intrarosa is on prescription
