Hi all I've started this thread for those of us on Androfemme so that it's easy for everyone and Newbies to find and search for.

Hopefully Natatters, Nuclear Scientist, and Sheanie will post progress updates here too x

I've started Androfemme today. 0.5 of the syringe. Which was larger than I thought, certainly more than a petit pois. I'll use the syringe again tomorrow and then do it by eye. Rubbed on outside lower thigh, which I'll alternate each day. I was going to do inner thigh but that's where I put the estrogel, so thought that might not be a good idea.

I'll report back as things progress, fingers crossed this is my missing link.

I've been taking it since May after my Testim ran out. I use less than the recommended dose (about two-thirds of the amount) and seems to work well.

Hi Wilks

Can I ask would you say it is better than testim or does it feel the same?  I am interested to see if there are any differences as I currently use Testim but at some point it is going to run out and as testim is discontinued I will be looking for an alternative (I can't use testogel as I had a reaction to it).

Many thanks x

It’s helped with brain fog, general mood and energy, and libido.
I haven’t noticed any difference between Testim and Androfeme

I think I'm using less than the syringe amount (which seems a lot), I use a pea sized amount on outer thighs, alternating left and right upper thigh then left and right lower thigh. No hair growth at all or other side effects.

I think I have had some subtle changes since starting 30 September. My muscles seem less achy which is fantastic for me and I have less thicky brain. I think I also have a bit more umph and energy. It's early days though and I know it can take a good 6 months to feel the benefits. It's a good start though!

I'm going to ask Dr Newson in January if there has been any further developments getting this available on the NHS, so I'll report back. Fingers crossed!

I hope I see some improvement, I'm so fed up with how I feel, are you actually under Louise? I've seen Jill crowfoot and Sarah Ball xx

Yes you are very lucky. I so wished I'd have gone to see her when she was in solihull when my first symptoms started, her waiting time now is crazy xx how long did you take to start feeling benefits from the testosterone xx

I think just recently. It has all been very subtle for me, with the Oestrogel too. Testosterone can take ages to take effect though so I'm not expecting anything too massive yet.

It is very expensive though although it does last 3 months I guess.

Louise has lots of other meno specialists at the clinic plus nurses too and I don't think the waiting list is too long for them. I had to wait about 6 months I think and it was during the time she was moving the clinic. In theory I guess if they have had the BMS training they should all offer the same level of care. X

Yes they told me it can take as long as 6 months to see full benefit. Hopefully by say end if decenber (which will be 8 weeks) I will start showing some improvement. They also put me up to 4 pumps of oestrogel per day as I'm still suffering anxiety which started for no reason with other symptoms 2 years ago and lack of oomph and energy 😔
Yes it is expensive but I won't mind if it helps I would gladly go without some other "luxuries" if I have to to fund it 😊 I will be in touch for your update and my own results 🙏🤞and thanks for responding.... This helps too 😘

Let us know how you get on. I'll be 6 months at the end of March so I'll assess it properly then. I'd say it's taken 6 months for the estrogel to settle. I'm peri and on 3-3.5 pumps.

I'm the same, I had a hysterectomy (kept ovaries) recently but have had peri symptoms for a couple of years. I started estrogel hrt after the hysterectomy so no need for progesterone thank goodness. Then added Androfemme a couple of months ago. Fingers crossed I'll be semi normal again in a couple of months! X
