Get 2 doses up there - 1 now and another this evening. Plump up the area and keep it moist ;-). Add to that pain relief and you should feel easier.

I have used 1 this morning and will use another tonight. I don't know why I worry about using so many, but as you say, the dosage is much lower now.

Also it isn't for very long usually. So an extra dose here and there? Quality of Life? or walk around with your legs closed and a wet knickers?

It's a tough thing to cope with. It took me months to get those awful wee/pressure feelings under control with ovestin.

Some lqdies say they have but others argue it is such a small amount that it's unlikely
I have, but it might be a coincidence but it is listed as a side effect on the Vagifem website, and i read only a few days ago that the mirena can cause hair loss as a side effect
I definitely lost lots of hair on Evoral Conti too

Suzy Sunday
Are u still on Ovestin for VA ? Or have you swapped to vagifem ?
Or any other ladies which one is better
As I've been on Ovestin for 8 months after briefly trying vagifem but 6 weeks into taking vagifem my hair started shedding loads so swapped to Ovestin but recently I've been having exessive sweating in groin and wet knickers again

I've always used ovestin and not had any hair loss problems. I use it alternate nights and it's helped libido too. No sweating problems. Used it for nearly a year and seem to have put on a couple of pounds.

Hi yes I have put weight on a stone in 8 months but think that may be HRT or could be the Ovestin ?
Do u think maybe I should use more the. Twice a week ?
Are u on any other HRT ?

Do read our threads on vaginal atrophy.
The sweating is unlikely to be connected and wet knickers could be the residue of the 'ovestin'. The idea is a nightly load for 2 weeks then twice a week, every week. I have had no problems after 5 years.
Weight gain is probably the menopause rather than the product.
If you continue with symptoms then take a pain relief and up the atrophy treatment for 2 weeks.

Vaginal oestrogen is unikely to cause any side effects such as hair loss or weight gain as the amount absorbed systemically is miniscule.
If you are using 10mcg twice a day every day then you should discuss this with your doc and I presume you have done otherwise you wouldn't be able to get hold of sufficient quantity at least not on NHS?! Maybe an Estring would be better as less amount of fillers and irriation through inserting that blue plastic tube!
Also generic estriol cream (0.01 %) is 10 x weaker than Ovestin so can be used in larger amounts to give extra local oestrogen (in addition to Vagifem) as well as lubrication.
