Femostom 2/10 switch to Elleste Duet 2 MG both by Mylan

Hello All,

My first post!  Thank you for reading.

I have been on Femostom 2/10 for quite some time and in that time I have developed a rash and itching in a wide variety of places, I will not mention!  Which I can put only put down to being on the Femostom.  After multiple visits to the Dr, a dermatologist who tested me for a variety of things and a gynaecologist, who questioned why I was at his clinic!  This has been going on for approx 12 months.

My surgery does not have a women's health specialist so it's been a bit backwards and forwards.  I am now waiting for an appointment with the women's health clinic and I should see someone by the end of the year (fingers crossed).  In the meantime, the rash/itching has gotten worse so I went back to my surgery and I suggested to another Dr that maybe I should at least try another type of HRT.  A number of the regular Drs are on maternity leave or career break so I am not seeing anyone consistently.  They have suggested Elleste Duet 2 MG but I see that its made by the same manufacturer (Mylan) so I am now not sure if I should bother?

Should I bother to swap or stay on Femostom, try and live with the symptoms until I see someone who understands and go from there?

Any thoughts!?

Thank you
