Hi all....woke again with a headache.which i dont really get but have had most mornings this week and feeling absolutely horrid. Just low and so tired..heavy headed....foggy.

Its supposed to be my utrogestan eve tonight.....im not taking any more. Need to find myself again as dont know the woods for the trees on this hrt. I was trying to hold on for abother few weeks on alternate eve utro then go on a cycle...or try at least....but i cant go another day feeling like this.i know it takes time but this isnt working for me....its been 4 months on this regime and although wasnt really realy bad....apart from.lts bleeds....i know im not getting any benefits. Im now scared of the progesterone withdrawal that lies ahead.....but im.gonna just have to face t head on...cant be any worse than how i feel now.
I tried to get 2 meno specialist appts for.asap but both not free until october. My gp is away and im.away next week. Just feel very lost and alone (lots support from my amazing husband etc but.nowt they can do really)  and i know so much support on here but i think ive exhausted it all.
I was.going the gym as i do most days but havent been much this week due to how i feel....but now siting having a coffee and trying hard not to cry.

I'm sorry you're feeling so bad Margaret.  I'm having a terrible day too (am just about to start my own thread), so you're not alone.  I'm really new to all this, so can't give any advice, just wanted to post to let you know someone's listening.  I hope, whatever you decide to do, that you can get some relief soon.

I am feeling the same as you and I have been on the gel and Utrogestan for 5 months now and not seeing any benefits yet.  My anxiety is worse, brainfogged, fatigued, low in mood, but I have a long history of anxiety anyway and I could be causing some of it myself through over thinking.  I missed the odd Utrogestan and started to have a light bleed for a few days which stopped but the bleeding started again on Wednesday, albeit not a lot, but all the pmt like symptoms along with it and some cramping.  I spoke with my meno specialist this morning and she thinks I should up the Utrogestan because of the now bleed and take the Utrogestan orally (which I don't really want to do).

I am at a loss as to what to do now and I wished I hadn't tried it to be honest.  My meno specialist says if I come off it to cut down the pumps over a couple of weeks and then stop the Utrogestan altogether but she said there wouldn't be any side effects and I have read there could be.  I am scared of what to do currently

Ahh kaye bless ya! Thank you. Its horrible isnt it. I dont seem to know who i am at the moment. Feeling real hornonal.....like i did before hrt actually. I dont recall feeling this bad when first began it (4 months today i think)

Ill look for yr thread and see if i can cheer you up haha.

Margaret, I started HRT in April 2018, mainly because my mum had suffered with severe Osteoprosis. So I was approximately 2 years post menopause when I started. I had suffered menopause symptoms since 2013 the year they kicked me off the pill infact. So don't give up hope, I'm sure there's a suitable HRT out there somewhere. It's just a case of finding the right combination. If I were you I'd take a break for a while and assess how you feel without it. Then if you still feel poo consider the options you have left. Bio isn't always the great saviour it cracks on to be, we are all individual and require different things from HRT. Big hugsss.. X

So....do you not think i should just stop the utro (not have one tonight as scheduled - this will mean ill have been 2 nights off as alternate)  and just stay on the gel for a little while then try introducing the utro again when i get a period (ie..new cycle and coint the 1st day as 1 then day 15 add utro)....or do you think i should just wean off both...ie no utro and no gel? Ive never been on  the gel alone so no clue what its like and if i may feel good.

If it was me I would leave everything off for a while and see how you feel. Then take it from there Margaret. Just a suggestion though. X

Ohhh little  more confused now as dont i j have to wean off the gel...? Im definitely not having an utro  this eve...but the gel in the morning......can i jist stop that too or  will this make  me feel worse?! I havent tried a cycle yet.

What types of hrt have you tried jmargaret.  I tried 6 types before I got the right one for me. All the ones I tried up till then didn't work or made me feel worse or just ill.  Then it took 7 months for everything to settle properly once I got on the right one. x

 I stopped my HRT 2 weeks ago as could not take the headaches any longer. I was just going into the progesterone/oestrogen part of cycle and I know they are the culprit. So of course the bleeding starts but I'd rather try cope with that as the headaches. I was miserable and taking triptans along with paracetamols like smarties. No weaning off for me as skipped one day n bleeding arrived. Keep us posted jmargaret on how u r coping

sorry hon, I missed your post because my brain is in such a mess.  How are you doing?  I am post meno 6yrs.  I can't take the gel and especially the utrogestan a day longer so after a consult with my GP I am going back to the Evorel Conti patch
