Hi
I'm new here and on week 5 of hrt. Using Estrogel and utrogestan ( daily). Anxiety and sleep are much better but I'm really bloated, I look pregnant! Also my boobs are tender and growing. My bra is now tight. Are these side effects likely to be temporary as not sure I can put up with looking like im 5 months pregnant. Grateful for any advice. Angel

What did you go onto HRT for, any particular symptoms?

Mainly anxiety/ocd symptoms which had magnified massively over past few years since becoming menopausal. Poor sleep too.

Did you feel bloated during your menstruating years?  I certainly did  :-\

How is your OCD managed generally?  If I find myself hand washing too often I make a list and tick off when I ought to do so ......... stress makes it worse.

Maybe a bit but not too badly.
Over last few years it's more pure o type which I've had CBT for. Hrt has helped a lot as it's reduced my high anxiety level but it's just this bloating!!

Hi Angel,
I got terrible bloating on the gel so swapped back to the patches.
I also take a chewable probiotic from H&B every day which really helps.

Thanks Annie Ive just bought some Yakult drinks to see if they help. I'm hoping it's a temporary thing as it's still early days but not sure 🤔 it's my first hrt, not tried anything else. I was thinking it was the  utrogestan causing it.
