Hello lovelies,
I've just come back after being away from menopausematters for a long time, in fact it's been so long I had forgotten my password, so had to make a new account.
The last time I was here I was having the implant every 6 months at the menopause clinic, because they stopped making the only hrt method that worked for me, which was a nasal spray.
The implant of estrogen and testosterone was fantastic, but then they stopped making that, due to cost I was told, I was discharged from the menopause clinic and told to go back to my gp to find a suitable alternative.
Unfortunately there has been no suitable alternative, and I'm back to trying different tablets, none of which stop the horrendous sweats I have both day and night.
I am so low and depressed because I have suffered for years and years with the horrible symptoms, but feel because of my age now being 60 nobody really cares, but I still have to work and function like I did 20 years ago when I had my hysterectomy, but don't know what to do.
Am I too old to ask to be referred back to the menopause clinic? I don't even know if there is such a clinic anymore.
I would be extremely grateful for any help or advice anyone can give.
Tina xx
