My late wife had 3 rounds of chemo and one radio. When they offered her a fourth round we just accepted it. I didnt realise that It was "palliative" treatment unti I saw it written down. It wasnt going to save her life. Just maybe give her more time but in the end it didnt give her more time it just meant her last few weeks were spent suffering the side effects and in hospital more than out of it. Hindsight I know . But I think if we'd known it might only give her a few weeks extra of low quality life we might have made a different decision.
