Bleeding Lots

Hello
I am hoping someone can give me some advice about breakthrough bleeding.

I am currently taking 3 pumps Oestrogel and small blob Testosterone daily. Was also taking daily 100mg Utergestan (still got a womb but no ovaries as had them removed in 2013 for PMDD - should have had the lot out..long story).
Mood was shocking on daily Prog so advised by Menopause GP after a break of Prog for 3 months to try for 12 days. Did that and mood was really bad again and bled very heavily for 10 days.
Fast forward to now and have had another 3 months off the Prog and told to try it again by taking 5 tablets only over 10 days.

Before I started it last week I started bleeding. Now on day 10 of bleeding and its very very heavy - flooding out!!
I have taken 6 Progesterone tablets daily over the last 6 days to help get it over with.
GP has referred me for an urgent scan..
??is this amount of bleeding ok - should I be worried.
I am thinking my only options now might be hysterectomy (so I can continue with the HRT) or stop everything altogether.
Scared to stop incase all symptoms come back....
Any advice or exoeriences would be most welcome.
Thanks
Jo

JoJo- not sure why your doc has recommended the 6 tablets for 6 days unless to force a severe bleed. I do think that the chopping and changing your dose, the long cycle, the massive dose that you've been told to take is seriously messing up your bleeding pattern. Your meno specialist should have explained to you that Utrogestan in particular can be very unstable in the body so no wonder you're having these issues. I'm sure your scan will be fine and someone better qualified than me will be able to explain long cycle use of Utrogestan a bit better.
