Ladies, please...does the dizziness ever really end? How many more years do I have to suffer! Somebody please tell me it really goes away in post meno. I'd give up a limb to make it stop. Stopped nortripyline as it made my heart race. Still new to HRT. Seeing another neurologist soon for my migraines. Pity party today

Hi jaypo, thanks for responding. Honestly, my drs have been useless as tits on a bull! My obgyn only prescribed me HRT when I mentioned night sweats, which is the least of my problems. I had some meclizine, (I'm in the US) but it makes me fall down exhausted. The dr I see for “vestibular migraine†is not being helpful told me I should see someone about my migraines...so, basically wasted 6 months with him and his nortripyline. Been waiting 4 mo to see another neurologist who supposedly treats migraines. Just so fed up! Sooo lightheaded, Looked in my notes and had this “feeling†on May 19, so must be some hormonal component. Tried to put some groceries away and I had to stop, felt so faint.

Could you have a nerve in the back of your neck which nips giving you a strange sensation? I have one, makes me go 'oh' then it's over. Maybe an X-ray of the cervical spine is in order?

Thanks ladies! My recent xray shows age related arthritis in c1-5. My neck ALWAYS hurts, especially with a migraine. Been waiting 3 months to get in to ask about occipital nerve blocks. Finding a neurologist that treats migraine problems and takes my insurance is like looking for a unicorn!
I just really hope this new neurologist truly treats migraine and can help me. Maybe another MRI to ease my mind. Last one was 2 years ago. I know I have anxiety, but I really cannot see how that would make me feel this weird. I seriously feel as though my brain is deteriorating! Thanks for listening

Could it be that this particular degeneration is causing your symptoms?
As for your brain deteriorating - you are in good company
