Thickening of lining of womb
« on: June 05, 2019, 10:49:15 AM »

Hi there

I am due to go for my second Hysteroscopy under GA procedure end of June because a thickening of the lining of my womb is 10mm apparently it should be no more than 5mm at my age 59 and post menopausal.

I had the same procedure in 2017 for a bulky uterus and a biopsy to examine and remove a polyp which was nothing to worry about and was all sorted .

I am on HRT evoril conti and have been for nearly 4 years .

Has anyone had similar issues with the very thick lining around my age post menopausal?

Not sure if it is connected with the HRT 🤔

Hi there,
I have the same as you, my cervix is the size of an elderly lady in her eighties and I have growths but they are not cancerous, even though they said that's what they are checking for. I decided to go on the patches thinking they would suit
Me better but I kept bleeding. My Doctor advised that I come
Off them altogether but now I feel awful. I want to know if it's linked to HRT and if so, would the gel be safer for me?

Take a list of queries to the appt.?  Then let us know?

Starbucks - find out what other ways of delivering HRT are available?  Tell your practitioner how awful you feel, LAY IT ON!  ;)

There are several ways of 'taking' HRT ;-).  By mouth, vaginally, patches.
