Hi StellaJane, the femoston definately made my hair so much better. My hairdresser commented how much thicker it seemed and how quickly it grew! Definitely a marked difference. I can't believe how much I'm shedding daily now. It feels so much thinner and dryer too but I'm not bald so fingers crossed it'll stop eventually.
Someone else in another thread stated that femoston was known as the “hair friendly†progesterone!
I was actually okay on the norethisterone and the only reason I stopped the patches was due to needing more oestrogen. My meno specialist didn't seem to be happy with me using an additional patch to up the oestrogen. The reason I stopped the femoston was due to side effects of progesterone which counteracted the positive benefits of it ie insomnia, constipation, +++ urine etc. Just became unbearable unfortunately or I would've persevered.
I've not tried utrogestan, seems to suit a lot of women though. I'll persevere for now on Mirena and oestrogel hopeful all side effects will settle eventually and I read recently about a magnesium hair spray for hair loss so may try that as it's certsinky helping with my sleep! X
