Jaydess and already no bleed?
« on: May 10, 2019, 09:41:49 AM »

Hi all

I and 45 and peri for a year I think. I have bee using Evorel 50 since December and I'm using one and a half patches at the moment because the meno specialist said I could increase but GP won't. I had the Jaydess put in at the end of February, mid cycle as it turned out. The first bleed I had in March dragged on for 7 days and do did the second one in April but my cycle went from teh 25 it has been to 28 as it used to be.

Now I am on day 35 and no bleed. Awfully tender nipples like the last two months and feeling a bit gloomy and can't be bothered about stuff but nothing drastic.

Is this it? No more bleeding?

Maybe someone with a Mirena has had the same experience?

Ah well, a bleed came on day 36 with a migraine and I just had to go to bed. That's the first one I've had since starting with Evorel so it's a bit disappointing.

I feel better today, no nipple pain, no headache and still none of the other peri symptoms I had so fine

Ah that explains it then, glad you're feeling better now Orangefoot. I can't remember whereabouts in Meno you are, but if you're still peri this may explain the bleed.  I watch with interest because as you know I'm having my jaydess fitted soon (4th June), just glad you're not having progesterone induced depression x

Hi

I thought I'd write a bit as there aren't many of us with the Jaydess.

My meno clinic appointment was supposed to be last week but has been cancelled three times again and moved to July. Then this week I had another letter and it's back to 6th June. In her last letter she said higher doses of estrogen are needed early in peri-menopause than later and I could significantly increase my estrogen as it was only 200 with a 50 patch before I had the jaydess fitted. I'll see what she says

I thought I might have more symptoms with the Jaydess but I haven't until the migraine this week.

I hope everything goes smoothly on the 4th. Take some painkillers before the fitting and after. It's not the most comfortable thing in the world but I gladly put up with it to avoid ever taking utrogestan again!

I will do thank you. I'm dreading it actually. When I had the Mirena fitted (and the copper coil) i remember it being unpleasant,  but I'm telling myself it's over quickly. Plus as you say it's worth it never to have to take Utrogestan again x
