Tips for lessening the 'sting' of utrogestan vaginally?
« on: April 16, 2019, 12:29:39 PM »

Hi folks,

Does anyone have any tips for lessening the sting that I'm feeling today after inserting 100mg utrogestan vaginally last night?

It's my first time, and perhaps this sensation will lessen over time but I've read others here have had to stop using utrogestan vaginally because of this, so perhaps others have tips that reduce it?

Thanks ladies.  :)

Thanks Stellajane,

I thought it might be that too. I actually have some ovestin cream which I've not used yet.
I wonder if I can use it at the same time?

Or rather use the Ovestin in the morning and the utrogetan at night.

I think I might try that actually.

Thanks so much for replying.

I've never encountered stinging so would follow Stellajane's advice and get plumped up! If you find the Ovestin too strong there is a weaker estriol cream (0.01%) or Vagifem. When I take the utrogestan (vaginally , at night) - I insert the vagifem about 12 hours later.
