Hi Newbee 50 perimenopause
« on: March 26, 2019, 07:13:54 PM »

Hi ladies, I have been reading your helpful comments and advice for a long time.
I think it's great how you all help one and other . I think I have been peri for at least 5 years, symptoms include
Brain fog ,aching joints, hair thinning, sore breast, night sweats, irregular periods. Longest between period has been 58 days.
Periods can either come early or late or 2 in the one month!
Have had bloods done although they have come back normal!
Would like some advice from all you knowledgeable ladies.
I feel so confused as so symptomatic yet bloods say otherwise.
Thanks pink68. Xx

Hi,

If you are in peri blood checks for hormones can still show wildly different values. I am in late peri with now very long gaps in between periods, and the most reliable time to measure e.g. FSH is on one of the first days of a period in the morning but even then they can fluctuate (and if it is a blood test by GP appointment in peri of course one has not much of an idea about when next period will be). Browse round.  Make notes.  Which symptom would you like to ease first?

I thought you could automatically reply to individuals.
Thanks for your replies ladies, I think the fatigue sweats and joint pains are my main concerns . Xx

Not really necessary is it?  You could put :

Thanks X, that's helpful could you tell me more ......... or take an overall view point?
