FemSeven Conti Fiasco ....
« on: March 06, 2019, 03:22:47 PM »

Theramex seems to be less than forthcoming regarding the supply issue of FemSeven Conti.
I have emailed them again, but received the exact same 'standard response' PDF that they sent me in January 😡
Completely unacceptable from a company that purports to "support women's health".
In desperation, I am now trialling Evorel Conti, and so far, so good (about 4 weeks), other than a lot of headaches (right frontal) I have noticed no change in switchover, and feel my normal self on it.
To be fair, I started on 1/4 patch + 1/2 F7, now built up to 1/2 + 1/2 of each.
I will let you know what I hear from Theramex having emailed them again regarding their unsatisfactory response.

Hi I too hounded theramex bit all they said doing everything the can to restore supply no other info. People say it's because of Brexit that they are not releasing as may get better NHS deal. I had tried evorel and things went well for one week then had headaches two days. My gp said stop taking it and put me on progestoren only pill which is normally contraception. I will be asking for something else. Did you cut up the patch?

Reporting back after appointment with private menopause specialist GP. I feel so much more reassured. She gave me a full hour, really discussed my history and was very knowledgeable, sensible and sanguine about HRT. I'm going to try the FemSeven oestrogen only patches with the utrogestan as a conti regime (I have successfully filled this prescription from my NHS GP, so the FemSeven oestrogen only patches are still available) and if this doesn't suit me, we talked about the Mirena coil. All the time, meanwhile keeping an eye on when/if FemSeven Conti comes back into supply. I'm nervous about the change as FemSeven Conti suits me so well (I have a few weeks supply left) but at least I now feel I have someone looking after me who knows my history and knows their stuff. I recommend it for anyone whose GP is still giving them a hard time about being on HRT at all, or simply hasn't got up to date information.
I'm similarly fed up with Theramex but it's worth keeping up the pressure re FemSeven conti.  They really have let us down.

Theramex really are giving us the run-a-round, especially with their generic response. How could they let woman down like this, I don't know  :(  In desperation I have been looking at alternatives, as I know that I do not suit Evorel at all.  There is a patch called Climara that has the same ingredients as Femseven Conti, but is only available in Canada or USA.
Does anyone know if you can get a prescription from your doctor to purchase this online?
