Hello !
« on: March 03, 2019, 06:59:42 AM »

Hello !

My first post & just wanted to say hi & ask a question

I have been peri for around 5 years & my nurse practitioner prescribed evorel conti 3 weeks ago . I still have really regular periods though & I recently read that this particular patch is only prescribed to post menopausal women . Is this true ? I have pretty awful health anxiety as it is so of course I'm freaking out . Should I stop with the patches ?
Thankyou in advance x

Hi if you are in peri menopause then you shouldn't have been prescribed Evorel Conti. You need Evorel Sequi which contains 2 weeks of patches containing just oestrogen followed by two weeks of patches containing oestrogen and progesterone x

Hi they won't harm you. They are not suitable as they may cause irregular bleeding as you are still having periods. I would say get an appointment as soon as possible to get the correct prescription.

You need Evorel Sequi xxx

This could be caused by the continuous progesterone or the fact that the oestrogen is too strong for you. I'll find the link to the different hrt treatments and post it for you.

Can I just say that I'm not a doctor or medically trained x

Another alternative would be to use an oestrogen patch with Utrogestan capsules for the progesterone. This is body identical hrt and kinder to your body . It also means that you can increase or decrease the oestrogen patch x
