Adding oestrogel to pill?
«

Sorry if nobody reads my last message on my other post. .
But with the oestrogen only being 1 5mg on my zoely pill, would it be ok to add one pump of oestrogel to this regime? I never had any bad reaction to the gel at all, it was just too much faff putting 4 pumps on each day!
I'm just so fatigued at the moment and wondered if just adding a pump may help? Xx

Hi no I don’t think it would be advisable to add Oestrogel to the contraceptive pill. If you’re going to take the Zoely pill then you need to take it on it’s own for 3 months. It’s not going to be an instant fix. Unfortunately, HRT or the pill is not an instant fix and takes time. The more you mess with the dose, the worse you will feel.

Hi why did your consultant recommend Zoely instead of HRT? x

It might be okay to do this, but check with a menopause-knowledgeable doctor. It would depend on whether the progesterone is enough to compensate for adding more estrogen.

Totally agree with Dotty.
Why would you want to mess with the dose? It could have reverse effects for you.
Either take HRT or this pill. Stick with it for 12 weeks.
Eventually something will work.
1.5 mg is around 3 pumps I think. Not sure.

I was put back on the combined pill for a while because I couldn’t find anything to work, I still had symptoms and transdermal Estrogen was added on top but I don’t seem to absorb anything. The new type of pill you are on is very low dose. Probably best to check with whoever is managing your menopause.
