My friend and her younger sister were in the same school year, but they weren't twins :o

We had brothers like that at our school.    One is now a GP and the other has just retired from a career in the Police. It's very sad because they haven't spoken for years due to the usual falling out over family inheritances.  They were like chalk and cheese at school.

Not that close then PF  ;)

We had a Margaherita in school, couldn't spell it then  ::) : often wondered what happened to her.  Her Dad was Italian.

Yes Penny, that's how my mom used to say it.
But most people say it the drawn out way.... when ever I've had to put it down on paper, I've always said to OH, NO! Don't put it down, but he says you have to, it's your name....I don't know wheather it's true or he just likes winding me up.....lol

We had Julie's, Janes, one called Jeanette, carol n Kim, who were my besties....

I had a friend called Gladys and she hated her name, most days she would complain about it but whenever anyone suggested she used her middle name or officially changed Gladys to something she liked she was quite defensive. She was a lovely person a name is just that a name. However another friend who worked in a kindergarten was frantic when she was expecting her own children as she said all the names she liked reminded her of the naughty little ones she cared for as part of her job. She found it difficult to name her own children without getting into a panic, eventually she and her partner chose names they both liked. It is a big responsibility giving a child a name.

I personally think she got a raw deal.
BUT, I suppose, we'll never get to know the truth about what went on between them...
Behind closed doors , n all that.....
