There are a lot of nerves in that area. Bad design 
. Certainly when my bowel feels full my bladder is more irritated.
Try a measure of Ovestin during the afternoon 2 see whether it helps.
Ovestin is not a soothing ointment to be used as and when you might feel uncomfortable. As a vaginal treatment it should be built up daily during the "loading" period of time - approx 2 weeks, and thereafter twice weekly. If you continue to experience symptoms of vaginal atrophy etc then this can be increased under the direction of your odc to say 3 x per week - but not chopping and changing all the time - it acts on the tissues to increase the maturity of the cells and decrease ph.
suzysunday - if you have gained weight it won't be due to the Ovestin. The amount absorbed systemically is minute. Have a look at your diet and exercise regime and if you have changed nothing else then perhaps ask for a thyroid function test especially if you are very tired? I always find I have put on weight at this time of year!!!
It may be that you need to reconsider systemic hRT as well - but a different preparation to the one you had before - or else maybe the Estring (vaginal ring).
