Extreme bloating on new regime
« on: January 14, 2019, 04:22:25 PM »

Since I had  pelvic clearance sugery 18 months ago, I have struggled with very extreme fatigue, poor stamina, little energy and loss of libido amongst other things. Have been on Evorel 50 patches for 5 years.
I saw a lovely meno specialist 10 days ago and have commenced Tostran 1 pump daily and also Progynova and Sandrena gel every day in addition to Evorel patch. This is to give me a real oestrogen boost alongside the testosterone.
I am noticing a bit more energy which is great. My problem is that after 10 days I am horribly bloated, can't do up zip on jeans! I feel awful and the scales show I have gained 5lbs, must be fluid I guess.
Is this pretty normal and likely to settle or should do I seek medical advice? I'm going on holiday next week and can't face feeling like this.

Surely it can't be right? I'm slim but I look 6 months pregnant today. I don't know if the extra oestrogen or the testosterone is to blame. I don't think I'm willing to persevere.

Whenever I started my last contraceptive pill (years ago), the first month I was terribly bloated. My legs were swollen...it was very obvious. But after the first month, things settled down. It could just be something like that going on and once your body settles to the new hormones, it could calm down. Sorry no experience with HRT with bloating...just an experience that I remember well regarding hormones.

However, if it is really bothering you and causing problems, talk to the meno specialist that prescribed.
