Can hot flushes actually raise your normal body temperature?
« on: January 07, 2019, 09:42:12 PM »

Hi

I was feeling hotter than usual today and decided to take my temperature, which was 38C.

I just wondered if the menopause can actually raise your body temperature to that degree (38 is regarded as a fever)

I have searched all over the internet, but just can't find a definitive answer.

Thanks in advance x

No, as far as I know your core temperature stays the same. My hot flushes/sweats were drenching but the digital thermometer stayed at 36 which is normal for me. Could you have a virus? Lots around at the moment.

It's not supposed to but be careful taking your temperature too often as it can fluctuate dramatically xx
