Does anyone know if I can take St John's Wort as well as HRT? I am feeling quite desperate  :(
Thanks

It interferes with the uptake of estrogen, so it is advised not to take St John's Wort if on HRT.
What HRT are you using?

Hi Debra and welcome to the forum.
I have no experience of st John's wort myself but whilst researching HRT I have read that, as tinkerbell says, it can affect the way the body processes E therapy.
I would say it's probably best to check with your doc.
Are you new to hrt.?

Hi, yes I am new to HRT, 6 days only. Taking utrogestan & estrogel. I am struggling daily with apprehension, impending doom, breaking down etc etc. I have been prescribed 1 pump of estrogel & probably need to up it a bit?

Are you in surgical meno?
Have a look around the forum. There is an eadtrogel utrogestan thread.
I'm sure someone on here will be able to answer your question.
Best wishes to you
