You're right about another level. It's so good to have this forum, it's a great help.

Years+++ ago a Consultant I worked for suggested yoga.  This was in the hippy days ............  ::) but it doesn't do any harm to simply learn to chill.  However, it isn't always simple  :D which is why I stand to sniff the roses; listen to the birds; watch the flames in the fire, trying to ignore the anxiety in my gut.

Make sure that your body isn't hungry, that's my problem this week  :-\

 :bighug:

Singing improves breathing and encourages the person to breath correctly therefore bringing down the heart rate = possible calmness.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions, they are really helpful. I need to find the best way to cope, relaxation and walks and not stressing everything.

I've been trying lots of different things for my anxiety and I think the best management (note that I don't say cure!) is:
Brisk walk twice a day
Keeping busy
Getting enough sleep
Magnesium and iron supplements
I've tried meditation and CBT but the walks are better for me.
So this seems to be a similar coping strategy to you, Suzy Sunday. Shame we can't walk together!

I've heard of ashwagandha but not tried it. I am just using local hrt, ovesin for va.  After the bleeding and biopsy from tibolone I am too scared to try any other systemic hrt.
Think I should try magnesium as a lot of people on here recommend it.

Just been reading through this thread and realise I'm not alone in feeling I can't cope with all the health anxiety issues-some days it is such a struggle getting through them. I have a few mins in the morning when i wake up that are fine then over anxious brain and aches and pains kick in and the whole cycle starts again. I do find exercise helps when i can summon the energy to do some.! Have set myself some small goals to start with to try and take control back as fed up feeling rubbish all the time-time will tell I suppose but good reading this and picking up some other ideas and in a way knowing not alone in the suffering helps a little.

I know how hard things can get. Getting going in the morning is really hard and getting organised to get out of the door.  These last few weeks, sitting on the bus trying to do things and this awful debilitating tingling creeping up. Other days things not so bad. Been awful uti symptoms that only just settling but terrified they will return, how to manage the condition, va, and round it goes.

Oh have a >hug< suzysunday.  Keep doing what you are doing for now.  Take pain relief if necessary.  Rest as much as you can.

welcome Krn11 - maybe open your own thread so that you don't get lost?
