Hi Hurdity  again thanks for your reply.

I am 50 and HAD been on desogestrel x 2 for 15 years as a contraceptive.  I was no longer allowed to take the CCP as I smoke (which really pissed me off as I was so settled on microgynon).  I went through all the bleeding problems on a mini pill until a consultant said increase to x 2.  For 14 years I havent had a period.  Which is why I didn't recognise early meno symptoms..........  I didn't even think about menopause.

I have been to hell and back trying to get settled...  (no, I am not exaggerating)  it's taken over 18 months to start feeling ok.  So for me, the odd flush and soaking wet bedsheets are preferable to walking around with a huge heavy fog on my head, crippling fatigue, anxiety and bad thoughts.

This is why I feel this is the best I can hope for.  xx  AND this is why I asked xx
