I've been to see a ‘specialist' in Leeds today and might as well have asked the checkout girl in Morrisons for advice!
I'm obese. My BMI is very high. But I'm not diabetic, don't have high BP or any health conditions. I exercise and eat relatively healthy although I have a very sedantry job.
So why am I discriminated against? Surely I'm still entitled to care. And to make an informed decision on the risks?
Yes she hasn't taken me off HRT but apparently the solution is to lose weight and keep it off. Of course I'll do that by next Friday!
I just feel totally let down. I'm not looking for the elixir of life just a normal life!
She pushed the Mirena but I had terrible problems with a coil and nearly died due ectopic pregnancy. I know that's not an issue now but it still scares me.
I'm currently on Evorel 75 with utrogestan 100 vaginally for 12 days. I'm thinking I'm on too much oestrogen but she said I'm not on enough progesterone. She said If I have a Mirena I can have as much oestrogen as I want!
I just went for specialist advice and feel all I got was ‘she's fat, can't help' approach.
Sorry for the rant!
