Evorel patches reviews please!
« on: October 30, 2018, 09:38:48 AM »

Hi ladies,

Just spoke to the women's health nurse. I am having issues with Femoston 1/10 and irregular bleeding - i posted recently. I asked for Femseven sequi patches which she agreed was a good option but there are big issues with supplies. So she recommended Evorel sequi. She said the progestogen in it was likely to control my bleeds better as Elleste Duet did but I was worried about it bringing back the headaches I had with Elleste. She said patches are often better tolerated. I ended up saying I would give Femoston another 3 months but as I have been on it in one form or another for over a year, I now feel deflated. Should I have tried Evorel?

Thanks!

I really like evorel Pricey, I've tried every hrt going and liked it the most. However that's only the oestrogen bit. I didn't like the progesterone part (noresthisterone), so switched to utrogestan instead. Hope this helps x

Pricey - you are still peri meno so need this sequential regime. My only small concern is that Evorel patches are medium dose so you may find you get a bit of a hit if hormones at first which may need to settle. Good luck. dG x

I'm very happy with the Evorel sequi patches. I've been on them for nearly 18 months ..I'm actually post meno at 50, but prefer not to take the progesterone all the time so have gone back to having a monthly p.
I feel so much better than pre hrt ::) ..highly recommend!

I couldn't cope at all with Elleste or Femoston, and consulted a specialist who recommended switch to Everol Sequi. I did find that the standard level in the pack wasn't enough oestrogen for relieving my symptoms reliably (hence need to use both the conti ones and sequi together to achieve enough control) , but the patches themselves stick well, and I don't suffer from the depression or bloating I had with the tablets. Only thing worth remembering though is patches need skin clean (no creams before application) and the mark left afterwards is best removed with baby oil or similar. I'm just now trying the continual regime with the patches (but double dose of conti) - all as advised by specialist.
