Read about this book on this forum and read it cover to cover in one sitting. Fantastic resource - well done! I am buying a copy for my GP and have shared about it all over Twitter and a women's group on facebook that I belong to that has 14,000 members so I really hope sales go up. THANK YOU.

I to have passed copies on to two relations who are in groups. One who is a member of a Book Club and the other a Stitch and Bitch group. Also mentioning the book wherever i can.

Feel sure as a forum here if we so wish we can play a part and help to get this book out there in some way or another.

I only wish i could have read this book in my forties. I sort of knew about impending menopause but had no idea whatsoever that my vagina would be affected in the way it has.

Forewarned is forearmed.

Thankyou Gangan and CLKD I feel quite 😏 about it all TBH. SO many over the years have gone on and on about VA and no one understands or talks about it, yet TBH the support from those that “ know “ me is quite frankly 😏. Equally a core of ladies have been FAB.

Now are ladies thinking who the hell does she think she is ? Is it going to make her rich ?

Firstly I was fed up of all the inadequate information on this subject I thought why not, I'm not shy about such things I have 3 daughters and decided I wanted this side of menopause to not be so taboo.

Make me rich NO need to sell a vast vast amount and it's cost us thousands to do this so a lot of money needs recouping.

Also I haven't invented my VA to do this book, I have been on here years.

But yes quite honestly I feel I am “ flogging a dead horse” but that's ok perhaps ladies want the status quo to remain.

I have just bought a book called “ estrogen matters” excellent written by a US breast cancer specialist, and a passage in his book says nearly a 100% of all women will get VA.

But again thankyou for your support in spreading the word, but I have realised I need lots of money, to be famous and have a mega PR team behind me.

Am I proud the books been written yes, would I do it again yes, but I will be totally honest I over estimated the support I had hoped for in helping spread the word. 30 emails sent out to papers etc and they just don't reply bar two, plus many FB groups.

💐👵🏻😊

It's like flogging a dead horse sometimes and advertising even in local papers is expensive.  In the 1990s I tried to advertise some charity work I was planning but even if I saw it as my contribution to the Charity it was prohibitively costly.  I will push the book and knowledge forwards.  What happens when you need a re-print?

How do you feel?  Exhausted or elated ?  Not an anti-climax hopefully.   :foryou:

Maybe charge for your talks?  WI; University  :-\ for retired people can't remember the title of the groups  ::); Open University?  Church Goups?

Have you looked at publishing it via Kindle Unlimited? The cost to the reader is £0.00 as they have to join KU and pay £7.99 per month but think you then get paid by the amount of times the book is downloaded?

I have found that since social media took off for business promotion that my marketing has really struggled. I used to get many clients from the old Yellow Pages but once it became so small you could barely read the print, most don't use it anymore. Obviously this was because social media marketing took over but I find you just get lost amongst the thousands of others promoting their businesses (or themselves!), where prior to this my webpage managed to bring in business alone.

One of my colleagues is also a TV gardening personality and he said that Facebook ads are currently the most successful tool, by far. Not paying to promote your page but those ads that pop up when you're scrolling through the news feed. This makes sense as I have made 2 purchases based on those but never through following anyone's FB business pages.

Hope that helps as I know how frustrating it is trying to be heard in a world where everyone and their dog (literally!) are trying to promote themselves.

Thankyou all & Dangermouse I cant promote it on FB as it has the word “ vagina” regards paying to advertise and have it come up in newsfeeds. Crazy just makes it even more taboo. 🙄

Have you approached ITV's This Morning program or even ‘Loose Women'? They might be interested which would give you a lot of exposure and free advertising.

Yes I have emailed TM & messaged LW with blocks backs.

Daughter who actually wrote the book is home for Christmas ( lives in shanghai) and we are going to have some brain storming.

Glad you liked the video 😊 have you seen the one with my Women's Health physio ? Re the pelvic floor at menopause.

That's ridiculous, so context doesn't count as the robots see that as an offensive word?!! Another reason to hate social media marketing. You could have a second cover for these platforms using your sub title “Living with VA”. Not as catchy but those who know what VA is will know and those who don't will be tempted to look it up.

Maryjane is there any way that you can get a pdf download onto your own website for a leaflet or poster about your book and where to buy it ? I would happily download, print out and distribute some flyers.
