Waking up sweating before alarm
« on: October 18, 2018, 05:08:35 AM »

Hi Ladies, I am post Meno. I am waking up every morning around 5am before alarm at 6am drenched in sweat. I then cannot get back to sleep. I have little sweats during the night but nothing like the early morning one. Once I'm up I'm then cold. Is this normal?

Morning!  Probably.  There is a waking hormone, Cortisol I believe, that can be a nuisance in peri..  Add to that the body temperature altering at that time of morning .............

Another possible is cortisol as mentioned.  I used to get hot flushes when my anxiety was bad and I always woke at 4am when it is at its highest.
