Hi ladies,

I'm sure many of you already know but for those who don't and may be interested there is a book called My Menopausal Vagina due to be released at the end of the month. It's written by Jane Lewis who has suffered from vaginal atrophy and her daughter. There's a video of Jane and Dianne Danzebrink discussing the subject on YouTube and a website which is the title of the book with .co.uk at the end.

I think she's absolutely amazing speaking out about such a difficult subject and have pre ordered my copy.

I wish I dare leave a copy with my GP

Has anyone caught the ad on the telly (there are a couple of versions depending on the time it is broadcast) with Jenny Éclair for Vagisan Moist Cream where she says "she has a troublesome vagina"! I sniggered when I heard it first and my other half's face was a picture.  Sure some idiot will complain but I hope they don't take if off bout time these things were out of the open.

The problem with that advert is that it makes out that the product will 'cure' the symptoms

I had to smile when I saw these posts.  I bet there aren't many places that people talk about vaginas so naturally and openly.  Isn't it just great 😁

Be even better if they did more....

Hi Robin it's me.

It's called “Me & My Menopausal Vagina” I was sick and tired of the whole VA stigma so decided enough was enough.

A GP has ordered 5 after reading it, so there you go. Yes my middle daughter wrote it who now lives in shanghai.

It's tears, laughter, boundary pushing and getting people out of their comfort zone, for all ages men and women.

Also been asked to do a couple of talks. Been asked to do a few more videos also about different aspects of VA, pelvic floor etc with specialists.

Currently being reviewed all over the place.

I never got to see it as I am unable to sit in a theatre due to anxiety.  Pity it isn't on video

It's taken a lot of soul  searching to do it, but with 3 daughters and a Grand daughter this taboo has to stop.

I have been on twitter 3 weeks promoting it and have had nothing but kindness and emails saying that's me and me and me.

I was shopping at my local shops the day after the video and saw an old Male friend of my daughters ( her dad ) , and I knew he'd seen the video and I wanted to run for the hills, but stood square and he hugged me and we discussed VA for 20 mins all his doing I was trying not too.👵🏻😳 he didn't have a quite voice either. 😂

Yes happy to post videos just don't want to bore ladies, next one is sex ( lack of and ways around it my children can't wait they think it's hilarious 😨😉😱🤷‍♀️🙈😂.

I'm posting here as a former member of this forum not as a newbie as it may seem.
Good on you Maryjane. 
My preordered book arrived in the post yesterday morning and i read it straight away. Not much else got done yesterday !
I hope the book blasts its way through and opens up conversations everywhere.
I've shown the book to my daughter and will lend it to her now that i've got to the end this morning. She's a busy working mum with two toddlers but i've told her if she doesn't read it now it is going on the bookshelf and is bright yellow so she can't miss it.  She knows how vaginal pain has affected me.
Do i dare to give it to my son-in-laws mother who is always asking me "how is your back" ? Maybe i will. She is 75.  I understand why she asks what she does and out of politeness i don't say anything but find it so frustrating that i can't have an open conversation with her.
The lolly image is wonderful !
