It could either be a natural blip - with a rogue ovulation more than 12 months after you reached menopause, or your body settling into the continuous combined HRT - it is normal to experience some bleeding or spotting within the first 6 months of any continuous combined HRT but keep an eye on it so that if you do experience worrying bleeding beyond this time frame ( or indeed if you are worried before this) then check it out with the doc. Re the sweats returning - it may well be that you need a higher dose of oestrogen as Femoston conti only comes in low dose ( 1 mg) or ultra-low (0.5 mg) but it doesn't come any higher! If you feel otherwise more or less OK on this preparation and could cope with a regular bleed again - you could try (cyclical) Femoston 2/10 and see what this does for your sweats/flushes and bleeds. This gives a regular monthly bleed. If the sweats stop then at least you know you need a higher dose of oestrogen, and also whether it is the continuous progestogen leading to the side effects (of low mood, sleeping a lot etc)? You may also benefit from blood tests to check whether everything else is functioning well and also check your overall diet to make sure you are getting enough of the right nutrients!
