Hi P, I have just started on this regime. You can take it either continually (no bleed) or sequentially (withdrawal bleed). I was put on continual daily regime of 1-2 pumps of gel and one utrogestan oral tablet a night, however, after 10 days of feeling a bit pants and getting pantsier, I have stopped the utrogestan and am experimenting with the amount of gel to try and find a regime that works for me because taking both at the same time means I can't work out what is causing what. However it does mean I will have to start utrogestan again on day 15 and will get a bleed. My experience does not mean you will have side effects or problems, so women have no probs at all. I would say take lowest dose possible to start with a build up slowly e.g. I found 2 pumps of gel straight off too much.
Conti is oestrogen everyday and utrogestan 25 out 28 days.
Sequential is oestrogen everyday and utrogestan from day 15-26. However there are lots of different variations that women use dependent on side effects and the specialist they see. Also just remembered that the recommendation is 200mg if you taking sequentially, whereas 100mg daily for continuous.
Utrogestan can be taken orally or vaginally.
Others on here will add more info I am sure as I am still very new to all of this
