I am much re-assured but it doesn't explain why I get this persistent pelvic pain in the appendix area. Its not severe enough to be appendicitis; more like ovary cramping, but scan revealed normal ovaries so I'm still unsure what's going on. It was this pain that sent me to the GP in the first place. Perhaps perimenopause just brings on odd aches in the pelvic area.
