I didn't think of peri-menopause, took my intermittent bleeds as being 'normal' and headed towards The Change.  Mine periods came; went: disappeared for weeks; returned for 3 'normal' periods but without the dreadful pain.  It was 5 months B4 I realised that they had stopped as I was busy with 4 poorly pets.

I didn't stop carrying sanitary protection for 5 years  ;D

Hello!

You sound identical to me!!  I'm 45 and periods all over the shop....nothing for a couple of months, then a very light one, nothing for a few more months and back to normal now, but still very light.  GP confirmed Peri.

I've started on HRT as was feeling soooooooo tired with very stiff/aching joints and I have a high risk of oesteoporosis.  Looking after my bones was my main concern.

I'm only on month 3 of using HRT and it has most definitely helped me.

Hope that's helps!  You will find a wealth of information on this page.  :)
