Hi pmj 28.
I've been on femoston conti since February, 0.5/2.5mg,
Then in June I started to get symptoms back, so I upped the dose by 0.5mg.
Still didn't do much so again I upped by the same amount, I'm now on 1.1/2 mg.
and it seems to be doing the trick.
I've been to my doctor and told her what I'd done and she said fine, just come back to me in
three months, to see how I'm getting on.
The only side effects I'm getting is tiredness and nausea, god, the tiredness is bad, but I'm pushing through it, hopefully it'll settle soon. Other than that I'm good on them, they seem good for me.
So, I was thinking, maybe, your not on enough, I think that with tablets we don't get as much
of the drug as what we do with the patches,( I too was on femseven, but they gave me terrible migraines so I came off them.) because of the transit ect.......

Maybe up them?  Hope this helps..

It sounds like you need more oestrogen.

Femseven Conti is a medium dose and Femoston Conti is a low dose so you have lowered the dosage .

Dotty,
Your just so knowledgeable,  :)
I didn't know that.
Maybe that's why I was getting god awful migraines on the femseven conti patches. :'(
Far too strong for me at that time.

Wish you were my gp.......lol.  :)

I'm not a doctor..... just had to do loads of research to find a solution to all my awful menopause symptoms. If you look at the treatment section on here it tells you which hrts are medium, low or high and which ones are for peri and post menopause, x

Hi Pmj. I remember reading somewhere that you can take extra oestrogen tablets or use Oestrogel on top of Femoston. I'll try and find the article x

https://www.gwh.nhs.uk/media/163808/wiltshire_hrt_guidance_2014.pdf

The guidance in the footnotes says you can add Elleste Solo to Femoston. That means you are increasing the oestrogen and not the progesterone .
