Morning ladies. Quick question please. I've been on Femoston 1/5 for just over a month and this week have started to bleed. Started off kind of dark colour and then when I got up this morning it seemed to more or less have stopped. However, I've just been to the bathroom and have started to bleed â€˜properly' and is normal red blood. Is this something I should be worried about or to be expected until things settle? I'm in early 60's so definitely post meno !

Breakthrough bleeding can happen in first 3-6 months when you start hrt.

Dotty is right. It is quite normal to get some bleeding and erratic spotting over the first 4-6 months with any conti Hrt. If it gets very heavy or doesn't calm down over the next few months, then you may need a different hrt regime - the Mirena with seperate oestrogen is often the best non bleed alternative. DG x
