Heart Palpitations

So I'm dealing with heart palpitations today.

How do you deal with them?
Any tips on calming them down?

I've had my heart checked and a stress test done and passed without a single problem. Most days I'm fine and then I get a day out of the blue where I just have palpitations all day. I'm not sure where it falls on the hormone cycle but I woke up with them today. I'd like to get them calmed down and stopped. They usually last a few hours. It's more annoying than anything. It's just pounding, strong pounding, not a fast heart rate.
I think I get stressed on top of them and make things worse. I have done calming exercises and breathing techniques but that doesn't help much.

Thanks

Mine improved when I started HRT, if I miss a dose I am troubled by them again so definitely hormonal in my case.

I really don't think there's much you can do about them tbh,
Just try and calm yourself down when they happen.
Deep breathing like you say, and try and take your mind off them as
much as you can by distracting yourself with something when they start up.
The good thing is you've been checked out and everything was normal so at
least you know your not I'll or anything.
Good luck..

Try taking some magnesium - this can sometimes calm palpatations .
I do Mindfulness to help with stress.

Thank you everyone.

I did miss a dose of hormones yesterday. I'll have to keep an eye on that in the future and see if that's the cause. Maybe I will purposefully miss one just to see one time.

I will give the magnesium next time as well.

The doctor still wants to me to do the holter monitor just in case on the palpitations. Not even a little bit of anything has shown on the other heart tests so can't imagine anything will show up this time. I swear I'm the healthiest unhealthy-feeling person these days.
