Hi there - I started a now long-running thread about T in Private Lives and I've bumped it for you and another member:
https://www.menopausematters.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=13.0. Hopefully somewhere in there I;ve said when I started to feel the benefits - I know it was very very gradual unlike when you add oestrogen which is almost immediate - within days.
Basically helps with libido (or rather,. response - the crucial part
), fatigue/exhaustion and muscle pain especially after exercise and general get-up-and-go although I am still unable to move with tiredness in the morning when I wake but once I've had a pint of tea brought to me by my dear husband and I'm up and about - I have plenty of energy
. I;ve been taking it for over 3 years now....
A month is nothing - I hope you are keeping a diary and especially of the symptoms which led you to start taking it in the first place..... the gynae I saw said the full effects (which are due to genetic expression and cellular changes in target tissues etc) can take up to 4-5 months so just have faith and keep on with it - hopefully not too high a dose. Especially don't be tempted to increase due to lack of results as Tostran is much stronger than the Testim/Testogel sachets/tubes.
I can't remember how much you are you using and how much oestrogen?
Also is your doc agreeing to test your levels after a few months to check you are not overdosing? Although blood tests are not very accurate (especially for T in women) it is important to test once you start supplementing.
Is this encouraging enough?!
