Just had a read Maryjane I didn't realise it was Malone- Lee and his antibiotic treatment,I have my doubts on the use of these long term I'm not convinced but if the websites information changes some gps and consultants attitudes to utis then it can only help because at the moment we are just chasing our tails in the treatment of them.My gp terrorised me with threats of impending bladder cancer if I didn't go down the urologist routes etc and I fought like hell about it,why would I agree to more invasive tests when my bladder was already screaming in agony the logic of it all made no sense to me and I became so resistant and allergic to the constant antibiotics they nearly killed me and now I'm scared to death if ever really needing one for anything else.Ive not had an infection for 18 months now by doing the regime that I do and no drugs are involved at all other than my hrt gel,I use every trick I know to keep clear of utis and antibiotics these days, maybe long term use is of value and I know malone lee has had/ having some success but the costs are horrendous for people as the clinics are private.Hopefully as this site says we will be able to have nhs specialists clinics same as nhs meno clinics or as I recently said to our campaigning mp one stop well woman clinics is most definately the way to go and one in every town/ city is needed.the nhs would save a fortune if these two things were actioned.thanks again MJ xx

He is last chance saloon these are extremely BAD cases , bed ridden so ladies /men do what they have to do .

I can't tolerate antibiotics either , so I try to keep my gut microbiome as healthy as possible , to boost my immune system etc etc .

The clinic is now open to NHS patients.

The problem is not antibiotics per se , it's the complete mis use of them too low a dose for too short a time that's how resistance has/is happening .

As you are giving the bugs a taster and then stopped , they then re group and become stronger , it's not a new UTI its the same one not cleared up .

As Fleming said “ There is the danger that the ignorant man may easily underdose himself and by exposing his microbes to non -lethal quantities of the drug make them resistant “ .

Women are simply being given too short a dose for their UTIs , hence the conveyerbelt system , I think that 80% of lab testing is UTIs.

Need to look back in history how the testing was set up it's a joke TBH, and nothing has changed.

It's now widely accepted that urine never was sterile , and lab tests miss 50% of UTIs , this is coming from all over the world now , but what to do about it 🤷‍♀️.

The biggest use of antibiotic over use is the meat / feed chain 70%.

And prophalatic doses are just as worse , just making the bugs stronger , and hide under a bio-film.😊

Yes I agree he really is last stop saloon and the stories I've read would break your heart, the medical system has so let these poor people down and dumped them either in pain clinics or physciatric referrals after they've finished fannying around with them and this was not a route I was going down.one of the website re bladders was full of horrifying accounts of people desperate for help and it was the same old story uti urologist ,cystoscope ,bladder stretches ,bladder installs, biopsies and same end results, dumped in a pain clinic or told it was in their heads.
I've had so many problems since very young and had operations that I hadn't a clue were for ,we just didn't question it was the way we were brought up my last op they told me they'd cut my bladder away from womb as it had adhered but I didn't understand what it all meant I was too young with young children and constantly Ill mentally and physically. Now I'm older and hopefully a bit wiser I question the need for everything I avoid anything invasive if it can be done other ways I pay to have it done and I scrimp to do this.If I find something that helps I try and share it,I'm not always right but if it helps just one person and does no harm that's good enough for me.xx
