Hi lisa1966
Sorry to hear you feel unwell, I know exactly how you feel, if it's not one
thing it's another.! Are you on any hrt?
I was the same every single day there was something, I was so sick of it,
Then I started femoston conti in February this year, and now my symptoms are better.
I still have low level anxiety sometimes but as for the aches n pains, they've gone.
I also suffer headaches, and tiredness so I've switched the time around that I take it,
Instead of morning I take it at about 6pm, so far so good, but I still suffer with moods,
and sounding off, which my OH takes the brunt of. Then I feel sooo bad afterwards.
Feel like a right old witch, something I've never done before , I was always a quiet person,
Never sounded off about anything, now sometimes I don't recognise myself.
Then after, I'm back to my usual self....it drives me mad..

Maybe you should switch your hrt if you are on one.see if that makes any difference.
It's crap feeling Ill all the time, or maybe go n get some bloods done for your thyroid.?
Keep us informed, hope you start to feel better soon honey..

Thanks jillydol,I'm on sandrena gel and norethisterone sequential, I'm on day 10 of the norethisterone part,I really struggled at work today, and only have one day off this week. I'm seeing a menopause specialist on the 19th but that feels like an eternity away.

Sorry lisa1966 but I don't know anything about the hrt your on,
But hopefully the meno specialist will sort you out.
I know you've got two weeks to go, which will feel like a year, but hang on in there,
and take one day at a time.
That's all you can do, maybe take some paracetamol for the aches n pains.
Might help. And try n get some quality sleep.

Let us know how you are, everyday on here,if you feel like you have to, someone's
Always here. Take care babe,

As oestrogen levels drop the body may become dry: inside and out as well as muscles may become lax = aches and pains.  Do you take any over-the-counter pain relief?

Low oestrogen levels may increase inflammation in the joints. I can't really advise, only empathise. I've had awful hip pain for the last few months, which I had physiotherapy for, but it dawned on me that it's probably another delight of the menopause. The physio helped quite a lot, but sometimes the pain wakes me at night. Not sure what else to do!

I read somewhere that and ovaltine type drinks were very good for relaxing the body Lisa maybe worth trying some at night.normally I'd say try a tens machine but I think by now we all know these are not your usual run of the mill aches and pains that we get blessed with lol.Hang in there you'll look back at this in a few months and think gosh look at me now xx

Take pain relief?

I can't really take pain killers because I used to have frequent migraine. I have to restrict pain killers to a few days a month maximum to avoid medication over-use headache.

Hello Lisa1966, as well as the HRT, try taking a Turmeric supplement.  I recommended it to a friend with very painful joints.  It hasn't taken the pain away completely, but she says the pain is now manageable. I have trouble with finger joints and it has made a difference to me also. As with all these things, it might be coincidence, but its worth giving it a try.

Lisa, sorry to hear you are feeling so unwell but as soon as I read that you are one day 10 of norethisterone it explained everything, if I took norethisterone for that long I wouldn't be able to function at all.

My opinion is that your HRT regime is wrong and that you are feeling really bad because your oestrogen/progesterone ratios are way out.   You need to remember that oestrogen is the feel good hormone that reverses the negative effects of the menopause so if the dose is too low and you then drown it out with a strong progesterone like norethisterone, you are going to find yourself in a very bad place.   This is what happened to me and I never intend to go there again.

My advice would be to stop the norethisterone immediately.   You have taken it for 10 days which will be enough to induce a bleed.

Hopefully the specialist will prescribe a good long run of Oestrogel (better than Sandrena in my opinion) only which will give you the boost that you need.

I hope that helps.
