Anyone have experience of coming off HRT ?  I'm 59 and just come off it after 5 years. I thought I had over active thyroid as I have palpitations, trouble sleeping and feeling slightly warm occasionally.  The results came up clear. My doctor thinks it's due to coming off HRT.  I thought it was a myth that after HRT the symptoms come back. Apart from losing weight and going back to my weight prior to HRT - I'm not happy!

Yep!  palpitations, poor sleep and feeling ‘warm' are all classic meno symptoms so if you have stopped HRT they will emerge.  Try taking some magnesium as it sometimes helps. Why have you stopped HRT?  There is no need to stop HRT if you are healthy and doing well?  There is no 5 year cut off now.  DG x
