Hi Ladies,

So a little update. I have started the Gel form (Sandrena 1mg) of Estrogen, 3 days ago and already seem to be feeling a bit better today so fingers crossed this is the key.

Yes the Vagifem grit has also stopped, I only use this twice a week now. After stopping Eutrogestan I did spot for almost 3 weeks but that too has now gone, so hopefully I am on the right path now.

Monday coming I have my Bladder and Abdomen scan hopefully that will not show anything nasty either.

Thanks again for the advise and support.  :)

Hi Keancy
So glad you're getting on okay with the sandrena & Mirena. Does the Sandreana come in a pump pack or sachets? How much are you using?
I'm just not getting anywhere with the oestrogel. 2 pumps I feel okay moodwise but the side effects, I assume from the progesterone, ridiculous peeing out of control (& I've taken meds for this for years, oxybutinyn) and insomnia waking most mornings 3.30 wired & constipation to boot. If I try 3 pumps the irritability and low mood appear alongside dislike of OH! Im spotting every single day and especially after sex (sorry ladies) & I'd recently had some work on my cervix for erosion that stopped this. Im losing hair every time I wash brush etc which had completely stopped on patches/tablets. I'm going to try get a gp appointment tomorrow as I'm due the 6 week check for Mirena and I'll ask for bloods. Apart from that I really don't know what to do. None of the gps at my surgery are clued up about hrt and the specialist I've been seeing (due back April) refuses to acknowledge I have a progesterone intolerance and thinks “I'm just having a bad time of it” and “have I accepted I'm getting older”. No shit Sherlock, every time I look in the mirror!!!
Any ideas or suggestions ladies or is it find a high bridge time after banging head on brick wall for 18 months on various hrts? Keancy let me know how you're doing if you can xx

Hi Optimist, sorry to hear you are having a rough time. I am hoping this could be the turning point for me.

Today however I felt quite dizzy all day but this could be due to a bit of a cold rather than Peri related, who knows these days lol.

I am taking the Sandrena in small sachet form and 1 x 1mg a day for the moment. I take the Vagifem 2 x a week, and obviously Mirena.

On top of all this I am also taking a good amount of Vitamin Suppliments; Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Magnisium, Vitamin B Complex , Vitamin E and Evening Primrose.

I wouldn't know about problems during or after Sex because unfortunatley my Husband hasn't been anywhere near me since early January but thats partly because most of January I have had horrendous Bladder issues, so not all one sided lol.

I haven't spotted at all since Feb 23rd now.

To answer to some of your issues, I am the opposide, very loose Stools rather then Constipation, I sleep very well again (sometimes want to much) and I think my Bladder is now better then it has been in years. I can go for Hours without even thinking about peeing, so the Vagifem seems to be a great help with that. I too lose quite a bit of Hair on and off but I have a massive mop of Hair so I can't say I notice much lol.

Hope you get some answers soon hunny

Well I could not be happier for you Keancy. That's fantastic if you're feeling so much better. Maybe I should ask re sandrena too. I think I'm going to ask re bloods first to see if absorbing.
I take supplements also, a well woman vit tablet. Starflower and vit d & e. I tried 300 mg of magnesium but had to stop due to diarroah (sorry for detail) blinking typical as it really helped mimic and sleep! I read that magnesium toxicity could cause this. May trial 200mg to see if helps. Hopefully with all of this goodness kicking in you and hubby will be fine again too, soon.
Really pleased for you. I'll update after seeing gp xx

Had my Bladder and Abdomen Scan today and all though I have to wait a month to see my GP now because she is on Holiday I have been told by the Scanner Lady that apparently I have a Gallstone. Doesn't seem to be bothering me at present and I had no idea it was there so we will see what comes from that.
