John Radcliffe v Chelsea & Westminster NHS
« on: January 24, 2018, 06:42:58 PM »

Hi

My GP reluctantly has referred me to a Meno Clinic at either of these places - we live in the middle of their locations. Does anyone have experience of both - an advice?

Thanks

I was treated at John Radcliffe and found them to be excellent. My daughter in law was also referred there for endometriosis and also found the service to be good.

I too have had excellent service from the Menopause clinic at John Radcliffe and can email them and call them albeit only there twice a week but they have been life savers for me.  When my gp was about to try electric shock therapy (i joke but the gp and physchiatrist were running out of ideas having not considered hormones).  They do try and get back to you within a couple of weeks with an appointment. Jan Brockie and Helen Kennedy are the ladies there, really wonderful

Hi TNM - I was a bit confused because I thought we had discussed this - there was similar post of yours when the Chelsea and Westminster was dicussed as this is Nick Panay's clinic - if you see the replies on there a member posted that she has been to that one. Since you were choosing between Studd and Panay for private care and now the latter clinic vs Oxford on NHS - well I don't think it matters as you have been given good reports of the Oxford one. I know other members have been the the Ch & W on NHS but just maybe not seeing your post? If it were me I would go to see Nick Panay but only because I know he's done a lot of research and published papers etc - one of the big names in menopause. Whether you would see him or not I don't know but I presume his team think similarly?
