Yes that's right - for an average 28 day cycle you take the prog for 12 days - although the info on this website says Provera should be taken for 12 days. Re the bleed - how long is a piece of string? It depends partly on the oestrogen dose and whether you are post-menopause., and also how much progesterone you take and for how long!
The usual advice is not to take St John's Wort at the same time as HRT as it could affect metabolism of oestrogen (according to the product info) as it says "the efficacy of oestrogens and progestogens may be impaired".
