Evorel sequi dose
« on: January 16, 2018, 07:34:25 PM »

Hello ladies,
I have been here a while but this is only my second post. On the advice of my gp I have recently upped my dose of evorel sequi from 50 to 75 by adding a half patch.. thats for the estrogen and conti phases. I am 54 and my symptoms were returning.. hot flushes, anxiety etc.. Initially I feel ok.. though maybe I bleed a little more on the second phase.. My gp at my last visit did not seem very clued up. So help please am I doing the right thing??

If symptoms go away then come back again, you usually need to increase the dose.

An alternative factor may be that the method of administration is not agreeing with you ie, that you do not absorb enough through the skin.  This may be because of where you site the patch, or you may need to try an alternative, eg gel or tablets.

Hope that helps - sorry I do not come on here everyday, so do not see all the posts.

Kazamia, I was okay for a while on Everol Sequi patch then flushing etc came back. My specialist GP suggested mixture of 100 mcg Everol patches (i.e. the estradiol only ones) for 2 weeks followed by 50mcg Sequi patches for next 2 weeks (to give the necessary progesterone). But it could also be that you aren't absorbing enough. I find that the progesterone seems to "offset" the estradiol - so I may have odd flushes during the second 2 weeks but never get very bad. It does mean 2 prescription charges though.
Hope that helps.
