Does anyone here think that past use of Zoladex made their natural menopause worse?
I was treated for endometriosis 20 years ago with the stuff.
6 months treatment cleared the endo.but I'm sure it kicked off my severe anxiety, gave me depression and contributed to my marriage breakup!
Quite grandiose claims but it is only with hindsight that I realise my "breakdown" was during that time. I was told it was "a little injection to stop your periods" that stuff is no "little injection". I was,a mess but at the time did not realise they were all meno symptoms, I only knew about hot flushes, all unpleasant psychological stuff brought on literally overnight. They lost me my job at the time and I was too anxious and depressed to try for the planned baby too!
I have no proof but I believe it brought my natural menopause on earlier..I used to always feel cold but after that I had a warm glow that never went. I always wondered whether it started the process of real meno.
Anyone else had this kind of experience?
